01 — Eye Anatomy

Eye anatomy

Cornea

The transparent front dome providing ~70% of the eye's refractive power. Conditions like keratoconus affect its shape.

Iris & Pupil

The iris dilates or contracts the pupil to regulate light entry. Pupil diameter ranges from ~2 mm (bright light) to ~8 mm (dark).

Crystalline Lens

Flexible biconvex lens that fine-tunes focus (accommodation). Stiffens with age → presbyopia after ~40. Clouding → cataract.

Vitreous Humour

Clear gel filling 80% of the eye. Maintains spherical shape. Floaters appear when fibers clump in the vitreous.

Retina

Light-sensitive layer with ~120M rods (low-light) and ~6M cones (colour & detail). Converts light to electrical signals.

Macula & Fovea

Central retina densely packed with cones — highest visual acuity and colour accuracy. AMD affects the macula.

Optic Nerve

~1.2 million nerve fibres transmit visual signals to the brain's visual cortex. Glaucoma damages these fibres over time.

Sclera

Tough white outer coat protecting internal structures and maintaining the eye's spherical shape under pressure.

02 — Vision

Eye conditions

Baseline ·

Normal Vision

Light is refracted by the cornea and lens, converging exactly on the retina. Sharp and clear at all distances. No correction needed.

Myopia

Nearsighted

Elongated eye. Light focuses in front of retina. Distant objects blur.

Fix: concave (–) lens

Hyperopia

Farsighted

Short eye. Light focuses behind retina. Near objects blur.

Fix: convex (+) lens

Astigmatism

Irregular cornea

Two focal depths on the same axis. Blurred at all distances.

Fix: cylindrical (CYL) lens

Presbyopia

Age-related

Lens stiffens after 40. Near focus lost. Happens to everyone.

Fix: progressive lens

UV

UV Light

280–380 nm · Invisible

Most energetic. Causes cataracts and macular degeneration. Blocked by UV400 coating.

Blue-Violet

380–500 nm · Visible

Screens and LEDs. Eye strain, sleep disruption, long-term retinal stress.

Visible Light

500–780 nm

Green through red. Lower energy. Perceived as colour. Minimal harm in normal conditions.

06 — Coatings

Lens coatings

Convex (+)

Thick centre · Hyperopia & Presbyopia

Concave (–)

Thin centre · Myopia

Anti-Reflection (AR)

Removes glare from screens and headlights. Better contrast, less strain.

UV

UV Protection

Blocks 100% UVA & UVB. Always confirm this is included.

Blue Light Filter

Filters 20–40% of blue-violet. Reduces evening eye strain.

Hardening

Scratch-resistant. Extends lens life significantly.

Hydrophobic

Repels water, oil, dust. Smudges clean easily.

Photochromic

Darkens outdoors, clears inside. One pair for all conditions.

H.A.L.T. Technology

  • Designed for children aged 6–16 years
  • Slows myopia progression effectively
  • Reduces peripheral defocus blur
  • Comfortable all-day wear
  • Full UV protection
  • Blue-Light filtering
  • Optical center ≥ 10 mm

10 Rings

The lens features 10 concentric aspherical rings around a clear central optical zone.

~1,000 Lenslets

Close to 1,000 contiguous aspherical lenslets create precise peripheral defocus to slow myopia progression.
